Microcelebridad (according to Urban Dictionary): "he who gets the adoration of his followers due to viral distribution online.
The concept does not refer to those who have gained their followers through traditional media. "
Clive Thompson of Wired defines the term as "the phenomenon of being extremely well known not to millions but to a small group of followers, a thousand people or perhaps a few dozen"
The concept is closely linked to the philosophy of DIY or "Do It Yourself" in Spanish. Responds to the concept of using alternative means of advertising the scope and especially the use of free resources on the Internet (blogging, Web2.0, video platforms, etc).
The microcelebridad is constituted on a trace file in the Web, where it is grown as a strategy of exposure and presence of specific groups of followers with whom they interact.
Sometimes this celebrity is linked to very specific groups, which are the focus of an almost cult worship. Such is the case of some mentors constituted Marketers Internet capabilities and bloggers whose sites compete with the official media in building public opinion.
Some have defined the phenomenon of microcelebridades as an extension of social engineering, to networks.
An example that meets 100% of this concept was the Lonelygirl15 series, when through the power of YouTube was created in a viral phenomenon.
This strategy is used by some "internet personalities" with an undeniable success.

Raisa, a very interesting concept.
Understatement celebrity as a mass phenomenon, as when we associate the term with figures like Madonna or Michael Jackson.
The idea of celebrity referring to a specific small group of followers, both customizable and localizable, is certainly a novel approach for the Internet Age.
For those doing business on the Internet, a strategy concept is equally applicable in certain contexts.
Now I realize why so many people without any conetenido on their blogs or pages, hits me on Facebook to make me his "fan" and autdenominan "public figures".

Facebook this feature to create groups of fans is a great tool when used properly.
The foundation of the microcelebridad, however, relates more to the idea of "dialogue", personal conversation, rather than excessive exposure without establishing close ties with people.
In the end, can be as simple as being honest, spontaneous and try to contribute as much as possible to each one of the people who contact us.
The networks are full of people with these characteristics and at the end of that meaningful dialogue can be unprecedented projects and collaborations, the impact may be amplified by the networks.

Note that this issue makes me much noise because I'm thinking just further exploit the marketing video. The exposure to others in a video to create that sense of closeness, as if a relationship (although you've never talked to that person).
Let us exploit the resources we have at our disposal ...

The Video Marketing as I mentioned, is another great tool ... just terrifies us!.
However, its usefulness comes from that capacity you mentioned to create a "close dialogue" to establish a conversation where people learn to know ourselves as we are.
As my grandmother "is choosing to write and speak is to flush" so when we speak, but commit all those errors to which they are afraid to make a video, we are saving the spontaneity of instant communication.
The Video Marketing is one of my "pending" but certainly one of my priorities. Moreover there is no way to becoming a "microcelebrity" without people see us

Very good article Raisa. And the reality is that today we have at hand to become "celebrities", but I like the word "respect." However, as Omar says, many people begin to "the roof" and not the "foundations."
Ultimately Social Networking, Video (for me, the most "intimate" to reach your prospects) among others, are well used tools that you can become a reference for your niche market.

Definitely the video, a subject that I have pending, is the best way to "connect" people there you go, go your ways and it is where you make a closer connection. Referent, microcelebridad or any other name, the result is a better connection with your visitors.

Thanks for your post, I now know are called microcelebridades, to users who gain fame by posting either a video or photo fun unusual or who invent any concept that attracts attention and can fall over the Internet.
Internet fame has to do practically with real people who are doing interesting things for themselves. This is very good to know because it will not be difficult to become a micricelebridad!
Apparently the microbelebridades not have the support of the mainstream media or public relations infrastructure. His followers are few but quality!

The quality of the followers of the amount is something that is imposed not only in business but in general. If we have a relatively small group even faithful followers but I think we have a good start.

Oh I have seen many microcelebridades, but did not know they were called so today.
One of the reasons why I like internet. For those who look very hard to be famous in the traditional way with the internet has opened up other ways. Yes lots and lots of creativity.

With all the technology, I'm sure we Will See Things like this a lot more happening on the internet. Almost Anyone Can Become an Overnight Sensation position Themselves If They CORRECTLY.
But ... to be Truly Successful, it all goes back to HAVING Relationships With Your followers and Offering real value. Proper foundations need-to be in place Before the roof is put on, But like Omar states, a lot are Trying to start at the roof.
