You've probably heard over and over again the phrase "The Money Is In The List" or as the gringos say "The Money Is On The List". Notice that I've been writing and sharing information in this topic because I've noticed that a list of subscribers is the most important asset you can have in your online business (and of course the relationship you have with it)
Let me explain to you ...
Although there are a myriad of Internet business models that are successful without having a list of subscribers, I mean that based on my experience models most profitable internet business are related in some way or another with a list of subscribers or prospects. (Affiliate Marketing, e-commerce, selling info products, etc..)
We will put the example of Amazon.
Amazon is one of the largest companies in electronic commerce in the world founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994. According to Yahoo Finance, Amazon genre more than 34 million in profits in 2010. Amazing is not it?
But that is not the most amazing ... Amazon has a list of subscribers and is used frequently and is one reason why their sales have increased substantially 
each year. They do know that the money is in the list!
Let me explain you the process. Once you create an account at Amazon to buy or sell products, they automatically have access to your email which used to send information. Once you buy a product and based on your purchase history, they know what your interests, hobbies and what kind of product these more likely to buy.
For example, my dad constantly buying business management books on Amazon (it has a business in the offline world where she sells sewing machines and embroidery) and because of this, told me that you constantly get emails from Amazon which offer books related to business management to your inbox.
He asks me: Hey Alan, Are these from Amazon as I do to know what types of books I like? Know exactly what you want ...
To which I reply: Dad, is that they are magicians and also have extraterrestrial powers. (Haha not true, I say that is because you are on your list of subscribers and access their purchase history and use highly effective marketing strategies)
This makes my dad to buy more books business, improve your business based on the information acquired and also the happiest Amazon $ $ $
Do you realize how Amazon uses your list of subscribers to increase their sales and customer loyalty?
Maybe you're not Amazon, but still I recommend that your online business you focus on creating a list of subscribers from the start. Try to fit your business model and make the most profit. Remember to establish a relationship with your subscribers and not just SELL SELL SELL and then.
It is proven that email subscribers volunteers are people who are more likely to buy your products. It is much more powerful a list of subscribers by email that a list of followers on Facebook or Twitter, believe me (By the way, let me clarify that I have nothing against social networks if you get to offend)

Congratulations on the article, no doubt gives us an example of how important it can be build and relate well with our opt-in list.
Cases such as Amazon are also given in the offline world, companies like Readers Digest do it with excellence, just as if we have Alan, but traditional mail ... and it's a very persuasive way to get a prospect on our list that became client, still faithfully frequent purchases.
